Video shows stolen Mercedes crashing into liquor store in Mission Viejo burglary

A suspect stole a car in Mission Viejo, authorities said, and rammed into the locked and gated doors of a local liquor store early Saturday, August 3, during a burglary captured by surveillance footage.

A silver Mercedes sedan that was seen crashing through the entrance of a business on the 2500 block of Charlinda Dr. at about 4:05 a.m., had been stolen from a Mission Viejo residence, Orange County Sheriff’s officials said in social media posts circulating footage of the incident. The car plowed through the store’s front doors and security gate and knocked over displays.

The car then backed out of the store, and one person wearing black pants, a black shirt and grey shoes exited the vehicle. The suspect walked through the mangled front door of the business, took trays of lottery tickets and cash, then carried the loot back to the stolen Mercedes.
