The pizza chain is partnering with Police and Fire: The Fallen Heroes for the all-day event, according to the nonprofit organization.

Customers at participating California Pizza Kitchen locations across the state are encouraged to mention the fundraiser to their server and 20% of the bill for food and beverages will go to Moye’s family through the Fallen Heroes organization.

If customers don’t wish to dine in, there are also options to support through take-out, online, catering or delivery orders placed directly with California Pizza Kitchen, Fallen Heroes said.

On Saturday, a Riverside barbershop also hosted its own fundraiser in support of Moye’s family.

Moye, 34, who was born at March Air Reserve Base and attended Valley View High in Moreno Valley, was shot to death during a traffic stop on the 215 Freeway in Riverside on Aug. 12. He was memorialized at a funeral service at Harvest Christian Fellowship Church on Aug. 20.
