2 women charged in rampage at Maggiano’s restaurant at South Coast Plaza

Two women were charged Tuesday for their alleged rampage through a South Coast Plaza restaurant, in which one of them — a former employee — reportedly using a baseball bat to vandalize the eatery.

Passion Shenay Coleman, 27, of Fullerton, was charged with criminal threats, second-degree burglary, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and conspiracy, as well as two counts of vandalism causing more than $400 in damage, all felonies.

Coleman, a former employee of Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant, is also charged with misdemeanor counts of battery, assault, wearing a  mask in a crime, brandishing a weapon and resisting arrest.

Laglennda Damona Carr, 24, of Fullerton, is charged with second-degree burglary, vandalism and conspiracy, all felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of wearing a mask in a crime and resisting arrest.

The two are accused of going into the restaurant at 3333 Bristol St. on Saturday afternoon and vandalizing a TV, table settings and plates, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage.

Coleman is also accused of showing up at the restaurant about 11:40 a.m. Saturday, when she allegedly made threats and hurled a plate at a restaurant employee before running away, police said.
