Motorcyclist dies in crash near The District shopping center in Tustin
A motorcyclist was dead as a result of a crash on Saturday near The District at Tustin Legacy shopping center and a portion of a major thoroughfare was shut down while police investigated the cause of the collision, authorities said.
Tustin police received a call of a traffic accident involving a motorcycle on Jamboree Road near Warner Avenue about 11:35 a.m., Tustin Police Lt. Andrew Birozy said.
The motorcycle and one other vehicle were involved in the crash, Birozy said.
The motorcyclist, identified only as an adult male while authorities notify his next of kin, died of his injuries at the scene, Birozy said. No other injuries were reported.
Tustin police shut down northbound Jamboree Road between Barranca Parkway and Warner Avenue and to conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash, Birozy said. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
