Police officer in Santa Ana injured in crash into another vehicle
SANTA ANA — A police officer was injured when his patrol car crashed into another vehicle early Sunday morning in Santa Ana, a police corporal said.
The crash occurred about 2 a.m. in the area of Main and Camille streets, said Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
The officer was responding to a pursuit at the time of the crash, Bertagna said. The patrol vehicle struck the motorist’s vehicle and a light pole.
Paramedics took the officer to an area hospital, where his condition was not immediately reported. The motorist was also taken to an area hospital with complaints of pain, he said.
No additional information was immediately available.
