A woman died Monday, Nov. 18, after she tried to cross a street against a red light in Anaheim last week and was struck by a pickup truck.

The collision happened near the intersection of Olive Street and La Palma Avenue at about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer said. The pedestrian did not have the right of way, and was hit by a 1999 Chevy Silverado that was traveling west.

She was gravely injured and hospitalized, Carringer said.

She was later identified as Maria Bonilla Herrera, 52, of Anaheim, and pronounced dead at about 4:17 a.m., Monday, Orange County Coroner’s officials said in a news release.
