Sheriff’s Department says La Mirada dispute ends with victim hit by aggressor’s car

LA MIRADA — A man was arrested Saturday in La Mirada after he allegedly tried to resolve a dispute by hitting another man with his car, authorities said.

The altercation between the 56-year-old driver and 54-year-old victim occurred about 1:30 p.m. at 11717 Goldendale Dr., said Sgt. D. McCabe of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk Station.

The victim was hit in the leg but refused treatment and walked away, McCabe said.

Deputies found the driver, and he was arrested about 2:30 p.m., the sergeant said. He was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Alcohol was not believed to have been involved in the case.
