15-year-old fatally stabbed in Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo woman arrested

A 20-year-old woman was arrested Saturday on suspicion of fatally stabbing a 15-year-old boy in Aliso Viejo, officials said.

The teen suffered multiple stab wounds near the intersection of Via San Gabriel and Via Iglesia either late Friday or early Saturday, Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials said in a news release. Deputies were summoned at about 12:50 a.m. after the victim was brought to Saddleback Hospital in Laguna Hills, where he was later pronounced dead.

The identity of the teen who died was not immediately released. Investigators named Liza Arce, 20, of Mission Viejo, as suspect in his killing. She was arrested on suspicion of murder.
