Anaheim police ID man whose body was found in trunk of vehicle
Anaheim police Saturday identified a man whose body was found in the trunk of a vehicle as 34-year-old Adrian Darren Bonar of Escondido.

Bonar’s body was found wrapped in a tarp in the trunk of a Lexus that was abandoned on the side of Santa Ana Canyon Road west of Gypsum Canyon Thursday, Oct. 17, Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
California Highway Patrol officers had prepared to tow the abandoned car when they discovered his body in the trunk.
CHP officers contacted Anaheim police about 10:45 a.m. Thursday after making the discovery, police said. Detectives and crime scene investigators processed the area for forensic evidence before towing the vehicle to the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
Police were investigating the death as a homicide.
Authorities on Saturday did not disclose how Bonar died, but said he was known to frequent motels in North San Diego County and Los Angeles County.
Detectives asked that anyone who has seen or had contact with Bonar over the past few weeks call 714-321-3669.
