Gunfire in Huntington Beach leaves 1 person hospitalized
Gunfire in Huntington Beach sent one person to a hospital on Sunday, Oct. 20.
A passerby spotted the injured victim, who was responsive and outside of a vehicle in a parking lot near the intersection of Warner Avenue and Magnolia Street, and called authorities, Huntington Beach Police Lt. Ryan Reilly said.
Responding officers to the 12 p.m. report encountered a male suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the the upper body.
Paramedics treated him before transporting him to a hospital. Details regarding his identity and the severity of his injuries were not immediately made public.
Information regarding any possible suspect or motive was not immediately released. The shooting remained under investigation Sunday evening.
