by in News

A motorcyclist died in Seal Beach on Monday afternoon after crashing into two cars, police said.

The male motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle after colliding with the cars at the intersection of Lampson Avenue and Tulip Street, Seal Beach police Sgt. Michael Henderson said Tuesday.

Paramedics who arrived to the approximately 2:18 p.m. crash tried life-saving measures but were not able to resuscitate the injured man.

The drivers of the cars in the intersection were not seriously injured, Henderson said.

Henderson did not go into detail about the crash, citing the ongoing investigation, but said officers are trying to figure out what prompted the motorcyclist to hit the cars.

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Cory Montgomery at 562-799-4100 ext. 1623.
