Person dies when struck by freight train in Anaheim
A person was killed Saturday morning, Nov. 9, when struck by a freight train in Anaheim.
The collision happened at 9:18 a.m. at Esperanza Road and Imperial Highway, the California Highway Patrol said. Metrolink said the person was hit by a BNSF train.
Metrolink said the tracks between the Anaheim Canyon and West Corona stations were closed, affecting the Inland Empire/OC, 91 and Orange County lines. The tracks reopened about 12:30 p.m.
