Car overturns in freeway crash; San Clemente Lanes Closed

Two people were injured during a freeway crash that left one vehicle overturned in the car-pool lane of the northbound 5 Freeway on Monday afternoon, California Highway Patrol officials said.
CHP officers responding to a traffic collision on the 5 freeway north of Camino de Estrella just after 2 p.m. found the vehicle in the car-pool lane and two other vehicles up the embankment on the right shoulder of the freeway, CHP officer Denise Quesada said.
Two people were taken to the hospital, Quesada said. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Quesada said.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. The No. 1 lane of the northbound 5 was closed about 45 minutes as tow trucks removed the three vehicles.
