Want to learn to shoot photos like a pro?

The Orange County Register is pleased to announce The Orange County Register Photography Workshop. This workshop is an opportunity for photographers of all levels to work alongside some of our staff photojournalists to gain experience in using the best techniques and equipment to improve your photography skills. You will receive editing and coaching from Register photographers and will have an opportunity to do some shooting and present your work.

This two-day workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, and Sunday, Feb. 17. The workshop will feature lectures from our photojournalists, group discussions and Q & A sessions. Attendees will receive assignments and a Register photo coach will edit your images. At the end of the workshop, awards will be presented for the work and some of the images will be published in The Register.

This workshop is limited to 25 participants.

FAQs

What should I bring?

Bring your digital camera and lenses. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions about your gear and you will need your camera for an assignment. Please bring samples of your work you would like to have critiqued. These images can be on your laptop, iPad or on a flash drive that we can transfer to a computer.
