UCI apartments burglarized, police search for man seen getting rid of window screen

Police at UC Irvine asked for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for questioning in connection with burglaries at an on-campus apartment complex.

In November and December, officers responded to the Vista Del Campo Norte student apartments regarding apartments that had been burglarized and obtained surveillance video that showed a man throwing away a window screen in trash rooms near some of the burglarized apartments, according to a statement from the UC Irvine Police Department.

The person of interest was described as an Asian or Hispanic man, 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 175 to 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black Dodgers baseball cap, navy blue hooded sweatshirt with “Lifted” and “47” on the front, white undershirt, blue jeans and white shoes, the statement said.
