Breed: Basset hound

Age: 10 years

Gender: Male

Size: About 45 pounds

Albert’s story: Albert arrived at Basset Hound Rescue of SoCal a few months back, sadly having lost his senses of sight and sound. He requires daily eye drops and long-term ear care.

While Albert has some special needs, he hasn’t lost his big heart, which he’s hoping to share with a new forever home this Valentine’s Day. Although affable Albert may be looking for love later on in life, this bachelor is a sweet gentleman who’s just a bit shy at first. Because of his condition, he would respond best in a calmer environment away from kids, and with a family that can accommodate his needs. Help Albert find love and a new forever home this Valentine’s Day.

Adoption donation: $200; Albert is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. He has had a dental cleaning and been evaluated and treated by an ophthalmologist and a dermatologist.

Adoption procedure: If interested in adopting Albert visit Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California’s website or email adoption@bassethoundrescue.org.
