Man described as transient charged with raping woman in Anaheim motel

by in News

A 29-year-old man was charged Tuesday, March 3, on suspicion of raping a woman at an Anaheim motel in 2019.

Adrian Ramey Hall was charged with rape, forcible oral copulation, robbery, sexual penetration by a foreign object, assault with intent to commit a sex offense and burglary, all felonies.

Police described Hall as a transient. He met a woman on Beach Boulevard in Anaheim who mentioned the name of the motel she was staying in to the defendant on May 9, Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer said. Shortly after the victim returned to her room she heard a knock on the door. When she opened it the suspect allegedly pushed his way in and attacked her, Carringer said.

Hall is scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana on Friday, March 20. He was held in lieu of $1 million bail. His lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.
