Victim ‘critically wounded’ in La Habra shooting
A possibly gang-related shooting in La Habra sent one man to a hospital Monday evening, March 9, and police were searching for at least one suspect.
Authorities received reports of gunfire at the 500 block of Euclid St. at about 6:35 p.m., La Habra Police Lt. Jim Tigner said. Officers encountered a victim who was “critically wounded” and rendered aid before the man was rushed to a hospital, the Police Department said on social media.
LHPD investigating an assault in the 500 block of S. Euclid. Euclid will be closed until further noticed due to the investigation. No further details will be released at this time. Any updates will come from this Twitter feed.

A description of any possible suspect was not available Monday evening. The victim’s identity, and details regarding what might have led up to the shooting, were not immediately released. However, investigators suspect it may have been a “targeted, gang-related incident,” Tigner said.
“At this time we do not believe there is a general threat to the public,” he said.
Police were at the scene of the shooting well into Monday evening. A portion of Euclid was closed, as officers conducted an investigation.
