O.C. woman one of three killed in accident in Hemet

“Six vehicles involved in hit-and-run crash.”

Christine Emily Giambra, 72, of Fountain Valley, was one of three people killed in a six-car crash on Highway 74 in Hemet shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Giambra was a passenger in a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero driven by her husband, who was injured in the collision.

Their SUV was hit head-on by a 2006 Audi that was swerving to avoid an accident on its side of the highway, the California Highway Patrol said.

The two people in the Audi — Cedric Twayne Page, 37, of Murrieta and his 11-year-old daughter, Zaria Williams, of San Jacinto — were both killed.

The accident started when a late-model, black, two-door, compact car — either a Honda or Acura — going 75-80 miles per hour clipped a Ford Fusion going with the 45 mph flow of traffic, causing it to hit another vehicle and spin out.

After the Audi collided with the Mitsubishi in the westbound lane, both vehicles were hit by yet another vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of the black compact, who never stopped after causing the crash.

The driver was described as a 20-25-year-old white man with short dark hair, clean-shaven with a tattoo on his left forearm. His car would have damage along the right side.

Anyone with information about the case may call Officer David Kling at 951-769-2000.
