At about 10:45 a.m., the Cal State Fullerton Police Department reported the water main break creating a possible sinkhole on northbound State College Boulevard at Dorothy Lane.
Fullerton police closed down State College from Dorothy Lane to Melody Lane and officials with the city’s Public Works Department and the university’s Facilities Operations were on scene, authorities said.
Water to the university was shut off while crews worked to fix the break, but was restored just after 1:30 p.m., university police said.
Crews were expected to work through Saturday night, with an estimated opening of the road early Sunday morning, said Fullerton police Sgt. Brandon Clyde.
